HANDCRAFTED WITH LOVE BY THE BRIDE AND GROOM!
Noelle, a graphic designer with a lifelong love of crafting, has recently turned her attention to wedding invitation design. A fan of wax seals, postage stamps, and fine paper, she saw the perfect opportunity to test her skills by creating the invitation suite for her own wedding. With encouragement from her groom-to-be, Noelle eagerly took on the challenge!
After finalizing a dream design for their save-the-dates, she sourced handmade cotton paper and coordinating envelopes. She reached out to Igloo Letterpress, a local shop she had toured while at Ohio State, and was thrilled when Allison, the owner, agreed to help bring her vision to life. Once the design was finalized, plates were made and a printing session was scheduled. On a crisp October day, Alec and Noelle visited Igloo Letterpress to print their save-the-dates by hand. They mixed ink to match their envelopes, aligned the press plates, learned how to feed the paper into the press, and got to work. After a few test runs and some troubleshooting, they successfully printed every card—leaving not only with beautiful stationery but also a shared new skill.
From carefully selecting all of the materials used for the save-the-dates to printing addresses on envelopes and hand pressing every wax seal, this was truly a passion project for Noelle. She and Alec can't wait to repeat the process for the invitations!
